A Fresh Start

The cat is out of the bag and we’re out of the monthly issue box that kept some recommendations and updates on hold for weeks as we worked to complete others.

As Investing Daily President Phil Ash informed subscribers yesterday, we’re moving to a much more responsive and time-sensitive continuous publishing schedule that will deliver a constant flow of news and analysis. You will continue to receive an email notification each time I post.

The coverage won’t change much, though alongside the usual in-depth research you can expect more shorter, less formal posts responding to breaking news and reader comments. I also plan to be much more active on the Stock Talk forums, providing timelier answers to your questions and concerns.

The Alerts tab at the top of the MLP Profits homepage now serves as the archive where you can look up any posts you might have missed as well as transcripts of the monthly online chats I will continue to co-host with Robert Rapier.

I couldn’t be more excited about these changes, which greatly simplify the site and will allow us to deliver research and commentary much faster than previously.

If you have any concerns or comments, please share them below.

The thing I liked about the monthly newsletter is that I could quickly and easily check out a capsule summary of my MLPs and get some useful info and/or opinions. I have some MLPs that are not in your recommended portfolios and the newsletter may be the only way I was getting anything about them. So at first glance, I am not pleased . . maybe there is some other way you will share this kind of stuff?

Are you referring to the information in this table: https://www.investingdaily.com/mlp-profits/portfolio/dynamic/how-they-rate/ ? Something else? Because I can tell you those automated data tables are really not that useful, especially when it comes to the sometimes goofy MLP accounting. I’ve answered a few questions about stuff not in the portfolios in thee monthly chat and in this forum, but I can’t give it the time I would give to a new or old recommendation, obviously. But always happy to share what I know, if I know. And there are some good free sources for MLP-specific numbers I can point you to as well.

We’ll see how timely you are with responses big guy lol.

I have a feeling you’ll be doing a lot of babysitting if oil continues to go where it looks like it may be going.

I appreciate your warranted skepticism and will use it as a motivating tool. I don’t think oil’s going much lower. Let’s see if Venezuela can keep pumping past its April debt due date, for starters.

I’ll tell you what I like most about the newsletter. I like when you do the periodic update by writing a paragraph on all best buys. I also liked how you ran the debt numbers for every pick last year when the market went to hell. It was reassuring and useful info. As long as you keep these up I’m good with the changes personally.

I just browsed a lot of the newsletters since I wasn’t in a position to buy anything since I have like 30k shares of your best buy ETE and nothing else.

Basically if it’s about Energy Transfer or CVI it’s got my attention.

I appreciate the chat logs each month and stock talk the most. It would be big if you responded at least once a day during the week. It would also be big if ETE jumped 20%.

ps – ETE just did another 1 billion dollar shelf filing today………..

Appreciate this, always nice to hear what’s useful and no reason I won’t be doing same type of reporting with the new format. Trust you saw the ETE update Monday, CVI is waiting on the EPA and the summer driving season, otherwise not much new…

I am not receiving any notifications of postings nor did I get any thing from Mr. Ash

So the first thing to check would be to click “My Account at the top of the screen on the right and look at the Notifications tab. Make sure that “Issue Notifications, Trade Alerts & Flash Alerts” is check-marked. Assuming it is you also want to make sure our emails aren’t landing in your Spam folder. You can find more on how to whitelist emails from Investing Daily here: http:// http://www.investingdaily.com/white-list/ If that doesn’t help please contact customer service at CustomerService@Investing Daily.com or (800) 832-2330 during normal business hours.

I believe the new format provides significantly more value to subscribers versus the old one. But if you’re unhappy please contact our customer service department at 1-800-832-2330 or customerservice@investingdaily.com
