Trade Alert: Sell GLD call option

Sell to close SPDR Gold Shares (NYSE: GLD) June 29, 2018 $129 call option.

President Trump’s tariff announcement has cast a layer of unpredictability over the market. Although my gold indicator signal hasn’t changed very much, I think it’s best to take the gain at this time.

Many thanks Kristin et al. Just make sure to always keep in mind that the indicators are sort of like a weather forecast – however good their overall record, they always can be thrown off course by something unexpected. The last few trades have worked out well – but I just want to make sure you don’t have unrealistic expectations. One suggestion is that you play future trades with no more than past profits so that you are assured of staying ahead or at least not ever falling into a hole. Steve

Thanks for the reminder Dr. Leeb. Well understood that there are no guarantees and risks are involved. Personally, I use pretty small position sizing for all my short term trades (painfully learned my lessons early on in trading) so I can sleep well at night.

Sold the calls at $2.64, a tidy 29% gain for me in 8 days. Pot 1 doing very well.

I was half expecting this! glad I was not wrong. I sold about 10 minutes before this trade alert appeared so I could lock in a gain of 36% Nice! Makes me feel even better that I apparently think like Stephen (at least this time!).
