Dear Ronner and everyone else,

It makes Steve, Jim, and I very happy to see all of you did well on this trade!

All the credit goes to Steve and his indicators. He has worked countless hours on updating and improving them. I am used to getting emails from the man in the wee hours of the morning.

The indicator-based option trades have worked really well and we hope to continue to help all of you make some extra money.

Thank you for this winning trade recommendation.

If I had known that this trade would last less than 2 months I would have bought one of the front months. This would have dramatically increased my leverage, or decreased my risk.

I apologize if this comes across as impolite, but may I request a ballpark estimate for the holding period of options trades? Thank you again.

Dear Ray,

The average holding period of the indicator-driven option trades have been about 15 calendar days (so that’s ~11 trading days). The median holding period is 7 calendar days. In other words, half of the indicator-based option trades have been closed in one week or less.

Because these trades depend on how Steve’s indicators move, we really don’t know at the time a trade is first recommended how long the holding period will be. As far as which options to pick, we try to balance risk and reward is to go a few months out and either at or slightly out of the money.

The last two trades worked out great in a very short amount of time, and the indicators’ overall record has been very impressive, but not every trade will work out as well as these did. Therefore, going forward we will likely continue to go with the strategy noted above.

We leave it at your own discretion if you’d like to go for more short-dated options.
